Meadow Crooke Characters
This is a page for the Meadow Crooke protagonists. It includes their biographies, birthdates, and anything else I can come up with. All three of the characters are taken from parts of me where some traits are obviously more exaggerated than others.
Brandon Snow
Brandon Snow is, in a word, the quietest character. The only time you get outbursts from him, is when he’s surprised or scared. He gets surprised easily, and he will spray if he feels threatened. He doesn’t spray very often; he considers it to be a “last resort” technique. It is currently unknown as to why he’s part skunk. This actually does help him as it enables him to talk to animals. He makes animal friends easier than making human friends. He is very loyal and will try anything to make sure Mindy and Charm don’t kill each other.
Due to his lack of confidence, he is often seen thinking. He doesn’t voice his opinions as he thinks they may hurt someone. He doesn’t like making people angry. If someone close to him isn’t happy, he blames himself. He always wants to be on everyone’s good side. He is also the voice of reason and is the main one who gives out those cheezy friend speeches. He normally hangs out in his own world completely unaware of any current situations. Mindy and Charm always bring him back to earth when they have arguments.
Brandon has a crazed obsession with food. He always makes his family meals. He plans to become a chef. He can and will eat anything.
My thoughts: Brandon was my first Meadow Crooke character. A skunk always appears in my fictional works. I created him back in 2004. He was merely a character only used in my dreams. His original design was a fully clothed human with ears and a skunk tail. I changed it because that was boring. I wanted full skunk, no clothes, and a human head. Being full skunk already makes him an outsider in the community, so it worked perfectly. Brandon is also the hardest character I have to work with. Due to him being so quiet, it’s hard to use him for jokes, or anything that’s not serious. I made him quiet to balance out the main group. It’d be boring seeing three characters bicker at each other all the time.

Mindy Rodriguez
Mindy is the group’s most intelligent person. She is from Venezuela and starts speaking Spanish when she panics. She is an only child, so her parents spent a lot of time working with her. She has no problem stating the way things should go. If it’s wrong, she will continue to state it until it’s fixed. Everything must be high standard in order for her to keep quiet.
Mindy and Charm always fight. Simply put, since Mindy wants everything to be perfect, Charm is the opposite. So they fight because they think they’re both right. Brandon often intervenes before something bad happens. Mindy keeps track of everything they have ever fought about. She’ll use it as a reference in case Charm tries to do something stupid.
Mindy excels in everything academically, but fails in the athletic department. She hates Gym and would skip it, if it didn’t go on her record. She is always picked last when it comes to sports. She would rather spend her time teaching people the facts of life than playing dodge ball.
My thoughts: Mindy's original name was Brittney. Her hair design is based from Wanda’s design from the Fairly OddParents. Her hair wasn’t always that way until I changed my art style. When I started drawing Meadow Crooke using traditional media, it really just looked like an FOP rip-off. As I worked with my style more, putting some South Park into it, I decided the pink swirl works for her. Since I didn’t want her to be labeled as a Wanda Clone, I made her Hispanic. I also felt that since I’m learning the language, I may as well use it somewhere. Mindy herself, is easy to work with whenever her and Charm fight. Other than that, I have to create a certain formula for her when it comes to her jokes. Since she’s smart, she sees through a lot of the basic ones; however, she’s not as hard to use as Brandon. Mindy is like me as I hate Gym too. I was extremely glad that once I finished it last school semester, I didn’t have to deal with it through high school anymore.

Charm Jackson
Charm is a loud, obnoxious, demented little girl. She believes her way is the only way to do things. Everyone and everything sucks. There’s no reasoning behind it.
She has the ability to run her parents’ lives. Her dad is downright afraid of her. Her mother is in denial that she’s a good little girl. Together they try to make her happy, even though that’s not possible. They have to buy her anything she wants, or terrible things could happen. Since she treats her parents this way, she thinks everyone should be treated this way.
As far as Mindy goes, Charm fights her because she considers her to be a stupid, annoying Barbie doll that can’t shut up. She will continue to fight her until Mindy realizes she’s wrong. Charm is always right, everyone else is wrong. Brandon doesn’t bother her at all. She doesn’t fight him because she thinks she will eventually get him to do her bidding. She also doesn’t want to be sprayed by him.
Charm hates school and will often skip it. Though now, her mom is starting to outsmart her into getting her to go to school. She still refuses to do her homework though. Her favorite holiday is Halloween, and that is the only time you see her cheerful at school.
My Thoughts: Charm’s original design was a black/purple Celebi with her face hidden and her original name was Lulu. She appeared that way in the traditional Meadow Crooke comics. She was nice and reasonable. I changed her personality when I made the digital comics. Everyone was too happy. I had to add some insane person to make it normal. She also had a design revamp. I decided to just cover her face instead of her whole body. She doesn’t look as goth that way. I took out the Celebi thing because it’s Pokémon, not really my own design. Charm is the easiest character to work with. I simply have her fight Mindy, or she runs around saying how much the world sucks. It doesn't take very much thought to do a Charm joke.
